At RWN Ltd we take great pains to make sure that any
product that
we recommend is thoroughly evaluated, tried and tested, and right for the situation.
THE RIGHT PRODUCTS USED CORRECTLY CAN YIELD ENORMOUS
BENEFITS
Our Range of Supplements includes:
- Omega
Pro F - a unique product containing fish oils, protected
proteins and sugars which has tremendous impact on cow fertility and
disease resistance
- Salmon
oil, Fish Oils (High Omega 3) - an alternative source of
Omega 3 oils on a dry carrier in 25kg bags or in liquid form. Omega
3's are essential in the diet and have been demonstrated to improve
cow fertility, bulling, conception rates, immune response and rumen
efficiency. Most commercial dairy diets are deficient in Omega 3
oils
- Protected Proteins
– Sopralin,
Soypass , Prairie Meal
- Bi-pass protein or Digestible Undegradable Protein (DUP) is particularly
important in very high yielding cows
- Protected
Amino Acids - Protected Methionine, Metasmart, BioSmart, Smartamine, Lactamine
Methionine is generally the
first limiting amino acid in dairy cow diets. Response are seen in
milk constituent quality, both milk protein percentage and butter
fat percentage as well as in milk yield and rumen efficiency. Of
particular interest as with omega 3 fish oils is the role of
protected methionine in preventing fatty livers and high NEFA's in
transition cows, resulting in improved liver efficiency and fewer
metabolic problems during early lactation
- Amino
Pro-Tec improves utilization of degradable protein in the
rumen, resulting in reduced blood urea's and increased milk yields
- Glucolac Plus,
Liquid Propylene Glycol -
Glucose pre-cursor for use with transition and very high yielding
cows
- Rumen
Buffers - Ostrea, Maxcare Rumen Buffer, Alkakarb, Sodium
Bicarbonate, Acid Buf Acidosis is common place
in most dairy herds whether fed traditional cake and silage diets,
full TMR complete diets or in cows grazing at grass. Usually it goes
unrecognized. For example we have become accustomed to cows scouring
on spring grass. We now routinely recommend inclusion of Ostrea in
dairy diets throughout the year, as a matter of course. The results
speak for themselves, improved yields, far fewer foot problems and
reduced lameness, better feed efficiency and healthier cows. All for
a few pence per cow / day.
- Salt
- Ground and Lump Rock
Salt, PDV Salt, Iodised Salt. Where sodium levels are
questionable, offer on a free access basis
- Straight
Minerals - Calcined Magnesite (Cal Mag), Limestone Flour,
Dical Phosphate
- Magnesium
Chloride Flakes - Dissolved in water troughs at grass or
used to adjust magnesium and DCAD levels in close-up dry cows where
it is extremely effective in the control of milk fever
- Micro
Prilled Urea (Feed Grade) - Useful as a source of non-protein nitrogen
where ERDP is in short supply in TMR's
- Caustic Soda - For
use in producing SodaGrain. An effective alternative to mechanical processing of
grain. Cheaper than drying wet grain.
- Mycotoxin
Binders and Mycotoxin Deactivators - Mycocell, Mycocell
Combi, Mycosorb and Microsafe Max. Mycotoxins are widely recognized
as a major cost to the industry resulting in lost output, reduced immune
response, infertility and a wide range of animal health problems. We
offer a number of solutions designed to either effectively bind or
deactivate a wide range of mycotoxins in feed. We also offer a
testing service to check feeds for a variety of mycotoxins prior to
recommending a solution.
- Cubicle
Bedding Powders - Cubi-Powder,
Vulkamin, Prosanex, Dri Li-Plus - effective cubicle powder, bedding
materials for improving hygiene in cubicle buildings, dry cow yards,
calving boxes and calf pens
- Footbath
and Lameness Treatments - TendaHoof Solution,
Copper Sulphate, Zinc Sulphate. Used as part
of routine foot bathing or hoof spraying programmes have proven to be a very effective
prevention for lameness in dairy cows.
- PIP
Products - Probiotics in Progress - new to the UK from
the Netherlands. The PIP system is designed to inhibit
the growth of the pathogenic bacteria which cause digital
dermatitis, mastitis and many other diseases associated with
intensively housed dairy cows, calves and other livestock. PIP
establishes a healthy microbial environment in livestock housing, on
beds and on the skin surfaces of cattle. By preventing the
build up of pathogenic bacteria in and around buildings PIP reduces
the risk of infection from a wide range of diseases which occur commonly
in livestock the result is healthier animal which perform better and
are more profitable.
